Weimaraner Health
Weimaraner health is an important issue if you are thinking of getting a Weimaraner puppy. Fortunately, keeping your dog healthy is simple for most Weimaraner owners...
Weimaraner dogs have the good fortune of having excellent dog health, for the most part. There are, of course, a few
common dog health problems
that you need to be aware of. But, most Weims are easy-care, wash and wear dogs. The single most important factor in your dog's health is the choice of a Weimaraner puppy. If you pick a good puppy, and you give your dog good basic dog care, you are likely to spend many happy years together.

Keeping Your Dog Healthy
Your Weimaraner is a dog who was bred for hunting. As such, she is strong, agile, full of engery and has a high level of endurance. Whether you take her hunting, or not, she still has these characteristics. This means that, if your Weim does not get out to run, she will become frustrated and may become rowdy—in your home. Weimaraners need vigorous activity. They LOVE it! Think of your Weimaraner as an exercise nut. She will take every opportunity to run, jump, and exercise her muscles. And she will become an agility star, if you find agility an interesting activity. This is not a dog who will do well in a city apartment!
Your Weimaraner's Health Needs
Your Weimaraner needs to exercise—every day. She needs a good dog diet, plenty of fresh water and a competent veterinarian to maintain her good Weimaraner health. That's about it!So, choose your Weimaraner puppy carefully, give her a good diet, keep her groomed (not hard for a Weim), go for daily brisk walks or runs, and you will have a friend for life.
